Senior Iron Ore and Mining Technical Processing Specialist

Before joining Metal Strategies, Marc served as General Manager/Senior Director of Technical Services: (1995 thru 2014) for Cliffs Natural Resources. Mark managed the company’s central staff technical services and research and development groups. He was responsible for a technical staff of over forty personnel providing global corporate-wide technical support for: long range planning, process engineering, large capital project execution, corporate laboratory services and research and development activities.

Marc is an experienced technical manager and mechanical engineer with extensive background in process, manufacturing and heavy industrial operations. Marc is knowledgeable in facility engineering, design, construction, operation and maintenance. International experience in all phases of large capital project management and execution.

Prior to Cliffs, Marc served as Chief Plant Engineer, Surface Maintenance Superintendent and Director: (1987 – 1998) for Copper Range Company, White Pine, Michigan, a 17,500 ton per day fully integrated underground copper mine and a subsidiary of Inmet Mining an international mining company based in Toronto, Canada.

Marc holds both electrical and mechanical engineering degrees from Michigan Technological University and degrees from Racham Graduate School of Engineering of the University of Michigan – Dearborn, Michigan and MBA from Ball State University – Muncie, Indiana
