Stanley West, Principal
A. Stanley West, a 41 year veteran of the iron and steel industries, joined Cleveland-Cliffs in 1967 as Director of Information Systems following nine years experience with U.S. Steel in Pittsburgh steelmaking operations. He was named Manager of Project development in 1978; Vice President of Project Development in 1983; Senior Vice President-Sales in 1986, and Senior Vice President-Sales and Commercial Planning in 1998. Mr. west brings Metal Strategies additional expertise on iron ore, and steelmaking raw materials.
Mr. West earned his Bachelor of Science degree with Honors at West Virginia University, attended the Graduate School of Business at the University of Pittsburgh, and earned his Master's degree in business administration from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland.
He is a member of the American Iron and Steel Institute, The American Iron Ore Association, and the Iron and Steel Society of the American Institute of Metallurgical Engineers.
