Tony Wilson, a Senior Partner and Strategy Advisor with Metal Strategies since 1998, was former Senior VP Strategic Planning and Operations Management for Ipsco where he helped guide that company from a small start-up EAF operation in rural Saskatchewan Canada into one of the leading flat rolled and pipe and tube companies in the world which was ultimately acquired in 2007 by SSAB for $7.7 billion – the second highest acquisition price ever paid for a steel company in the history of the industry.
- He also served as and Senior Vice President, Marketing for Davy International, at the time the world’s leading builder of steel plant and equipment.
- Tony was also Senior VP of Tippins one of the world’s largest builders of steel and metallurgical plant and equipment ultimately sold to SMS Europe, now the world’s leading steel and metallurgical plant and equipment builder.
- Tony was founder and first President of the International Association of Steckel Mill Operators.
- Tony holds a Master of Business Administration degree from London School of Economics.
